The Save One’s Sight organisation was a relatively new one, having just made the transition from Malaysian Glaucoma Society. The founders of this association then commissioned us to design a logo and a website based on the new name.
The new logo had to reflect the organisation’s mission in creating awareness to prevent unnecessary blindness, while communicating that it is an organization that is professional and corporate. This is a crucial brand personality to portray, as Client is looking to gain more confidence from the community as a trusted voice to champion this cause, which will translate to greater financial and volunteer support. Along with that, we needed to create a website that serves as an information hub to provide information about the organisation.
We developed a logo that communicates Save Ones Sight’s vision in reducing unnecessary blindness in Malaysia. The eye looks to and is focused on one objective, which is to save the sight and vision of many, before it is too late.
Further to that, a website was expanded from the logo design. We took cues from the logo colour to ensure cohesiveness of the look, but more importantly, a comprehensive foundation of the web architecture was laid out. We advised the Client to include information on eye diseases, for the public’s knowledge. News and events focus on the happenings so the public can anticipate future events from the organization. We also encouraged the public to get involved and participate in the activities, and worked on a set of forms for donations and volunteers.
To facilitate better information dissemination to the media, we also set up a media page that contains press releases for the media, as well as highlights previous published releases.
Vision shop was an online shop we established within the website to sell Save Ones Sight merchandise such as T-shirts, mugs, notebooks, caps, phone covers, tumblers, keychains and etc. We designed a full set of merchandise for the online shop.
One of the Client’s many challenges includes getting corporate sponsorships from corporations. We then proposed to the Client to create an updated, extensive organization profile that helps corporations understand their needs and know the collaboration options they have. Armed with the new organization profile, corporations now have the information they need to include Save Ones Sight in their CSR proposals to the decision makers.
